The operating reality
The people are capable. The operation around them can be stronger.
Construction companies coordinate complex work across offices, shops, jobsites, partners, and systems. As they grow, information and responsibility can become harder to keep connected.
Thomson starts by learning how the company operates across people, projects, information, and decisions. From there, we improve the systems around the work and apply technology, including AI, only where it supports clearer control, faster decisions, or more reliable execution.

Jake Thomson
Founder
Grounded in the work
Thomson grew from experience inside complex construction operations.
Before founding Thomson, Jake spent three years managing structural-steel contracts on hyperscale data-center projects. His work also included internal process improvement and applied AI initiatives.
His work covered schedule, cost, risk, coordination, production, vendors, and field execution. It shaped Thomson’s working standard: understand the operation before changing it, respect the people closest to the work, and build only what the company needs.
- Operating experience
- Schedule, cost, risk, coordination, production, vendors, and field execution.
- Delivery context
- More than $100 million in structural-steel contracts managed over three years.
- Operating improvement
- Internal process improvement and applied AI initiatives within a construction company.
The long view
Learn company by company. Carry forward what proves useful.
The immediate goal is a stronger client operation. The longer-term value is learning which methods prove useful across different construction companies.
Over time, Thomson will carry those lessons forward and keep testing them through real work.
